Vietnam Veterans Memorial Collection Advent Calendar

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Collection Advent Calendar takes a noticeably different approach to the traditional holiday countdown. Its 24 numbered designs form a remembrance-focused collection, moving from military vehicles and field equipment toward symbols of service, tribute, and homecoming.

The first section concentrates on transportation and equipment. The display includes a UH-1 Huey helicopter, armored personnel carrier, M48 Patton tank, river patrol boat, CH-47 Chinook helicopter, C-130 transport aircraft, military utility vehicle, tracked ambulance, and a medevac helicopter. Arranged together, these pieces establish the military theme before the collection moves into more personal objects.

A field radio command set, dog tags, and a Vietnam veteran service cap shift the focus from machinery toward the individual service member. That transition continues through the middle of the calendar with a memorial wall panel, service memorial plaque, folded-flag display, and remembrance stone.

From Service to Remembrance

The final portion of the collection carries a quieter, more commemorative tone. Combat boots and a field backpack sit alongside a bugle tribute and memorial wreath. A jungle-service sign and Vietnam service ribbon lead into a commemorative coin set before the countdown finishes with a “Welcome Home” monument.

That progression gives the 24-piece arrangement more meaning than a set of unrelated military miniatures. Vehicles and equipment represent one side of the theme, while dog tags, memorial displays, ribbons, coins, and homecoming imagery focus on remembrance and recognition.

The presentation shown on the box reinforces that direction with “Vietnam Veterans Memorial Collection,” “Welcome Home,” and “24 Commemorative Miniatures” artwork, alongside the visible 1955–1975 date range. Its muted olive, bronze, brown, and black palette also separates it visually from the brighter Christmas calendars typically displayed during the season.
