Monopoly Minions Happy Halloween Board Game – Halloween Is Better With a Little Minion Mischief

A vampire. A witch. A mummy. A skeleton. Frankenstein. Even a tiny pirate. Apparently, the Minions took Halloween costumes very seriously this year.

The whole board leans into that idea. Instead of simply adding a few pumpkins around the edges, the design drops the Minions into a moonlit Halloween world filled with crooked houses, glowing jack-o’-lanterns, bare trees, bats, and plenty of orange-and-purple details.

It’s spooky, but not too spooky.

More silly than scary, really.

Bananas Still Find Their Way Into Everything

Of course they do.

Spaces around the board mix the Minions universe with Halloween fun. You’ll notice places and references such as Gru’s Lab, Minion Beach, Banana Factory, Villain-Con, Unicorn Land, Vector’s Lair, and Gru’s House.

Then there are cards like Minion Mischief, Banana Bonus, and Minion Mayhem.

That little bit of nonsense is what makes the theme work. The game still looks familiar enough for Monopoly fans, but almost every corner has been given a Minion-style joke or visual twist.

The character-style pieces shown with this edition may be my favorite part.

Rather than a row of ordinary tokens, the pictured set features Minions dressed in different Halloween looks: vampire, witch, mummy, pumpkin, skeleton, Frankenstein-inspired monster, ghost, and pirate.

Choosing your piece suddenly becomes part of the fun.
