This Looks Like Hello Kitty Took Over the Coffee Shop for Christmas

I started counting the coffee cups.

Then I noticed the croissant.

Then the gingerbread cookie.

Then Hello Kitty showed up dressed like a Christmas tree.

At that point, counting was over.

The Hello Kitty x Starbucks 2026 Advent Calendar has the kind of assortment where every little piece seems to be doing something different. Instead of simply changing Hello Kitty’s outfit 24 times, the collection builds a whole Christmas coffee-shop theme around her.

Some days are about coffee.

Some are about Christmas.

And a few look like Hello Kitty got distracted on the way to order and joined the decorations herself.

24 Little Designs, and the Coffee Theme Keeps Changing

The pictured calendar presents 24 individual mini charms, arranged in six rows of four.

The first few establish the coffee-shop idea immediately. Hello Kitty appears with takeaway cups, mugs and cold drinks, including several green-and-red café-inspired designs.

But the collection quickly expands beyond beverages.

There’s a croissant, a lollipop, a gingerbread figure, coffee beans, a gift box and a green gift card-style piece. Other designs lean completely into Christmas, with a wreath, Santa outfit, snowman, candy cane, festive sweater and colorful string lights.

One of my favorites might be the version where Hello Kitty appears inside a decorated Christmas tree.

Although the teddy-bear outfit is making that decision difficult.

The Calendar Box Feels Like a Tiny Christmas Café

The packaging carries the same idea into a full holiday scene.

The pictured box uses green, cream, red and gold with snowflakes, coffee beans, holly and Christmas decorations around the border. Hello Kitty stands in front holding a festive drink, while a decorated coffee-shop scene fills the background.

The artwork also reads:

“24 DAYS OF COFFEE SURPRISES”

and

“24 UNIQUE MINI CHARMS INSIDE!”

Even the small “Good Coffee Brighter Days” sign adds to the cozy café atmosphere.

Put the box beside all 24 charms and it looks less like a conventional Advent calendar and more like somebody turned an entire Christmas coffee run into a collectible set.

I’d Have Trouble Keeping These Together Until December 24

Each pictured design includes a hanging loop, which gives the pieces another life after the countdown.

They could become little additions to a Christmas tree, holiday display or coffee corner. A few could also be grouped around mugs or other seasonal decorations simply because the café theme makes them fit naturally there.

And because the 24 designs aren’t identical, displaying several together is more interesting.

You could create a coffee group with the cups, mug and beans.

A Christmas group with Santa, the wreath, tree and snowman.

A sweets group with the croissant, gingerbread and candy.

Or ignore all of that and put the teddy-bear Hello Kitty in the middle because she’s clearly earned it.

The Hello Kitty x Starbucks 2026 Advent Calendar works because the theme stays recognizable without making every surprise feel the same.

One compartment might reveal a festive drink.

The next could be a Christmas wreath.

Then a gingerbread treat.

Then Hello Kitty turns up wearing a bear costume.

There isn’t much logic to that last one.

But I’m keeping it.

For Hello Kitty fans who also happen to consider a coffee stop part of the daily routine, this is a particularly fun way to count down toward Christmas.
