Transformers 40Th Anniversary Christmas 2026 Advent Calendar – This Looks Like Someone Invited the Entire Toy Box to Christmas
The first thing I noticed wasn’t actually the Christmas packaging.
It was the lineup.
Twenty-four little figures standing together, arms out, looking like they’re about to hold the strangest—and probably loudest—Christmas party Cybertron has ever seen.
There’s red, blue, yellow, purple, green, silver and black everywhere. Some designs immediately bring back the classic robot aesthetic, while others have dinosaur features, horns, wings, armor and distinctly different silhouettes.
So instead of feeling like 24 variations of one character, the Transformers 40Th Anniversary Christmas 2026 Advent Calendar feels more like assembling a miniature Cybertron crew one day at a time.

Day One Would Probably Turn Into “Who Am I Getting Tomorrow?”
That’s the dangerous part of this kind of Advent calendar.
Open one figure and suddenly waiting another 24 hours seems unreasonable.
The pictured collection includes recognizable Transformers-inspired looks associated with both Autobots and Decepticons. There are classic red-and-blue, yellow-and-black and silver designs alongside purple and green characters, plus several more unusual figures that keep the rows from becoming predictable.
The franchise itself debuted in 1984, so the 40th Anniversary theme has genuine historical roots: Hasbro celebrated 40 years of Transformers in 2024 and described the milestone as four decades since the brand’s 1984 worldwide debut.
That retro connection works particularly well here because the figures have a simplified, toy-box appearance rather than trying to recreate highly complex modern robot designs.
The Tiny Dinobot-Style Figure Would Ruin My Attempt to Pick a Favorite
I’d probably begin with one of the classic blue-and-red figures.
Safe choice.
Then I’d notice the gray dinosaur-inspired character with the enormous teeth.
Now there’s competition.
A few spots later come horned and armored designs, a bright green figure, purple Decepticon-inspired characters and several different takes on the familiar robot color schemes.
That’s where this set becomes fun to display.
The figures don’t need to look identical to feel like they belong together. Their compact proportions and matching presentation visually connect the entire collection while still leaving room for very different personalities.
Interestingly, there really was a Little People Collector Transformers Special Edition Set released for the franchise’s 40th anniversary, featuring four characters from the original 1980s cartoon. That confirms the anniversary/Little People pairing has real precedent, although I wouldn’t treat the pictured 24-piece Advent Calendar as that specific official four-figure product.
Christmas Is Just the Excuse to Open Them Slowly
The box presents this as a 24 Figure Collector Set, which makes the countdown simple: one new mini character at a time until the full lineup is assembled.
But I’d be more interested in what happens afterward.
Autobots on one side.
Decepticons on another.
Dinosaur and unusual character designs in front.
Then I’d move everything around because the purple figures suddenly look better beside the green ones.
The snowy Cybertron-style packaging and Christmas trees give the set its holiday setting, while the figures themselves can remain part of a Transformers-themed display after December is over.

FAQ
How many figures are shown in the Advent calendar?
The pictured set contains 24 mini collectible figures, creating a complete 24-day countdown.
Why does the calendar say 40th Anniversary?
Transformers made its worldwide debut in 1984, and Hasbro officially celebrated the franchise’s 40th anniversary in 2024.
Are all 24 figures the same design?
No. The pictured assortment includes a wide range of colors, armor styles, robot designs and faction-inspired details, giving each reveal a different appearance.
Twenty-four days sounds reasonable until the first little robot comes out of the box. After that, I’d be trying very hard not to meet the entire Cybertron crew before December 2. Discover more character and pop-culture countdowns in our Advent Calendar collection.
