Monopoly Iowa Hawkeyes Football Collector Board Game – Forget Boardwalk. I’m Heading Straight for Kinnick Stadium.
This one made me stop and read the spaces around the board.
Instead of the usual Monopoly locations, the pictured Monopoly Iowa Hawkeyes Football Collector Board Game takes you through a distinctly Iowa-themed route.
There’s Kinnick Stadium, Carver-Hawkeye Arena, The Pentacrest, Iowa Memorial Union, The Quad, Downtown Iowa City, and other familiar-looking campus and game-day references.
Even the corners have been reworked.
One says “Go Hawks!” Another sends you “Visiting Iowa City.”
It feels less like somebody simply changed the colors of a Monopoly board and more like an Iowa football weekend turned into a tabletop game.

The Board Is Basically a Night Game Frozen in Time
The center artwork is what I’d want visible even when nobody is playing.
A packed stadium sits beneath the lights in black and gold, with IOWA HAWKEYES COLLECTOR EDITION printed above the field. The outer spaces continue the same palette, so the entire board feels connected rather than patched together from unrelated references.
Then you start noticing the smaller details around it.
The pictured setup includes Hawkeye-themed money, property-style cards, Hawkeye Rewards cards, dice, houses, and several sculpted football-inspired playing pieces.
Among the visible token designs are a Hawkeye character, helmet, football, stadium, Hawkeye emblem, foam finger, Iowa-shaped piece, and a ring-style collectible.
Those little pieces might actually be my favorite part. Everyone at the table would probably choose their token before deciding who gets to be banker.
This Feels Like a Game You’d Leave Out After Everyone Goes Home
That’s where this design is different from an ordinary board game.
Set it out during a Hawkeyes watch party and it already looks like part of the room.
Black and gold everywhere. Kinnick Stadium on the box. Football memorabilia surrounding the board. Iowa references hidden across the spaces.
Then, once kickoff is over, you’ve got something everyone can gather around instead of immediately calling it a night.
I can also see this being the kind of gift that gets opened and immediately turns into:
“Okay, we’re playing one round.”
Which, because it’s Monopoly, is a dangerously optimistic sentence.

A Few Things I’d Want to Know Before Game Night
Does the board use Iowa-themed locations?
Yes. The pictured board replaces many traditional property names and spaces with Iowa City, campus, stadium, and Hawkeye-inspired references.
Are there custom playing pieces?
The product image shows several football and Iowa-themed token designs, including a helmet, football, stadium, Hawkeye emblem, foam finger and other collectible-style pieces.
Is this mainly for playing or displaying?
The detailed black-and-gold presentation works for either purpose. It can function as a themed game-night piece while also fitting naturally into an Iowa football memorabilia collection.

Game day eventually reaches the final whistle. This gives the Hawkeyes crowd something to argue about afterward—like who somehow owns half of Iowa City while everyone else is broke. Explore more sports-inspired tabletop collectibles in our Board Game collection.
