Know Your Parasites Anti Trump Shirt – It Took Me About Two Seconds to Get the Joke

I saw “KNOW YOUR PARASITES” first and assumed this was going to be some kind of outdoors shirt.

Then I read the labels.

DEER TICK.

Okay.

DOG TICK.

Still normal.

And then the third one:

LUNA TICK.

That’s where the shirt reveals what it’s actually doing.

The last illustration is a caricature of Donald Trump, and “Luna Tick” is a deliberate wordplay on “lunatic.” This same deer tick / dog tick / “Luna Tick” format appears in other anti-Trump merchandise and earlier versions of the political meme.

Whether someone agrees with the message or not, there’s very little ambiguity about the viewpoint the artwork is expressing.

The Simplicity Is What Makes the Graphic Work

There isn’t much decoration here, and I think that’s intentional.

You’ve got a black shirt, large white typography, two illustrated ticks, and the Trump caricature arranged in one straight visual sequence.

Nothing else is competing for attention.

From farther away, someone sees KNOW YOUR PARASITES.

Get a little closer and the three labels deliver the joke.

It has that old-school political-cartoon quality where the punchline only needs a few words.

Definitely Not a Shirt That Tries to Stay Neutral

This isn’t subtle political apparel.

The Know Your Parasites Anti Trump Shirt is designed around an explicitly anti-Trump joke, so it makes most sense for someone who intentionally wants to wear that message rather than simply wanting an election-themed graphic.

I could imagine it at a political gathering, protest, casual event, or anywhere someone is comfortable wearing political satire openly.

More than anything, though, it’s the pun that makes the design memorable.
