Iowa Hawkeyes 2026 Christmas Advent Calendar

Iowa Hawkeyes 2026 Christmas Advent Calendar – This Looks Like Someone Decorated the Entire Christmas Tree for Game Day

At first, I noticed the black-and-gold calendar box.

Then I saw what was lined up underneath it.

A Hawkeye in a Santa suit. Football players. A helmet. A tiny pickup carrying a Christmas tree. A snow globe. Santa dressed in Iowa colors. Even a Christmas stocking filled with candy canes.

That’s when the Iowa Hawkeyes 2026 Christmas Advent Calendar stopped looking like a regular sports countdown and started feeling like a miniature Hawkeyes Christmas party.

The calendar itself has 24 individually numbered compartments, running from December 1 through 24. That traditional countdown format is familiar, but everything surrounding it has been given an Iowa-inspired twist.

24 Days Without Looking Like the Same Surprise Repeated

What I appreciate most about the pictured collection is the variety.

There are several football-focused pieces, including player-style characters, a black Hawkeye helmet, footballs, and a stadium-inspired snow globe. Other designs lean completely into Christmas with Santa hats, decorated trees, presents, snowmen, candy canes, and festive costumes.

Then there are the slightly unexpected ones.

The little black-and-gold pickup truck carrying a Christmas tree is especially fun. So is the motorcycle-riding character. And the seated holiday duo looks like the kind of piece I’d probably end up displaying separately instead of packing away immediately after Christmas.

Rather than creating 24 slight variations of one mascot, the collection mixes football, holiday, and playful character ideas together.

That makes opening each compartment feel a little less predictable.

Black, Gold and Christmas Lights Work Surprisingly Well Together

The presentation sticks closely to the Hawkeyes color palette.

The calendar uses a mostly black background with gold lettering and graphics, surrounded by evergreen branches, snowflakes, ornaments, bells, candy canes, and warm Christmas lights.

Even many of the individual collectibles carry black-and-gold details, so once they’re displayed together, everything still feels like one collection.

I could picture the pieces gradually appearing on a desk or shelf throughout December, or becoming part of a Hawkeyes-themed holiday display near the tree.

It’s football season and Christmas season sharing the same corner of the house.

No need to choose.
