Houston Astros AL West Division Champions 2017-2026 Shirt – Eight Years on the Shirt, but the Missing Year Is What I Noticed First
I started reading the little championship markers at the bottom:
2017. 2018. 2019. 2021.
Then 2022, 2023, 2024…
And finally, 2026.
That last number is now part of the story. Houston clinched the 2026 AL West on September 27, finishing 81–81 and securing the division on the final day of the regular season. It was the Astros’ eighth AL West title in the past 10 seasons.
That makes the Houston Astros AL West Division Champions 2017-2026 Shirt feel less like a generic championship graphic and more like a visual timeline.

The Bottom Row Is Basically a Decade of Astros Baseball
The shirt lists eight AL West championship seasons:
2017 · 2018 · 2019 · 2021 · 2022 · 2023 · 2024 · 2026
Those years match MLB’s record of Houston’s AL West titles during this period.
And visually, I like that they’re not hidden in tiny print.
Each season gets its own badge underneath the oversized CHAMPIONS lettering, so the history becomes part of the main design rather than an afterthought.
The large 2026 at the top makes it immediately clear which new chapter this shirt is celebrating.
Houston, Baseball and Space All End Up in the Same Graphic
There’s a lot happening in the center, but it fits the city theme.
The artwork combines a Houston Astros-style circular emblem with a baseball, skyline silhouettes, stars, orbital rings, the moon and an astronaut helmet. Orange highlights glow against the navy background, while white lettering keeps the championship wording readable.
It feels intentionally oversized—the kind of graphic designed to fill the front of the shirt rather than sit quietly over the chest.
Even without reading every championship year, the Houston and baseball identity comes through quickly.
2026 Wasn’t an Easy Addition to the List
That’s what gives the newest year a little more meaning.
Houston had been 20–31 in May before working its way back into the race. The Astros eventually reached the final day tied with Texas at 80–81, then defeated the Athletics 9–0 while the Rangers lost to Minnesota, giving Houston the division at 81–81.
So when 2026 appears beside 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 on the shirt, it represents a title that wasn’t settled until Game 162.

2017 to 2026 Looks Pretty Good Written Out Like This
The biggest word on the shirt is CHAMPIONS, but I’d probably spend more time looking at those eight little year markers underneath it.
They turn the design into a record of an era.
And after the way the 2026 race went all the way to the final day, adding that last badge feels especially fitting.
