24 Day Of National Park Advent Calendar 2026 – This One Made Me Want to Plan a Road Trip

Not decorate for Christmas.

Not wrap presents.

A road trip.

That’s what happened when I looked at this calendar.

The box has that old national-park-poster feeling—mountains in the distance, pine trees, a river cutting through the landscape, and earthy colors that immediately reminded me of visitor centers, trail maps, and those little souvenirs you bring home from a trip.

Then I looked at the 24 pieces.

Bison. Campfire. Bear. Hiking trail. Moose. Canoe. Mountain goat. Waterfall.

Okay… now I want hiking boots and a cabin.

Each Day Moves Somewhere Different

What I like most about the 24 Day Of National Park Advent Calendar 2026 is that the collection doesn’t rely on 24 versions of the same mountain scene.

The first few designs already move around quite a bit.

There’s a National Park Adventure badge, followed by a bison, campfire, bear, hiking trail, and ranger-inspired design.

Keep going and you get a moose, canoe, fishing scene, pine forest, mountain goat, and waterfall.

The second half continues with a wolf, cabin, hiking boots, eagle, telescope, camping scene, compass, trail sign, mountain lake, elk, camp trailer, and another National Park Adventure design to finish the collection.

It feels less like opening 24 random pieces and more like moving through one long outdoor trip.

Day 18 Would Probably Make Me Want to Disappear Into the Woods

The camping badge says it perfectly:

“HOME AWAY FROM HOME.”

There are several little phrases like that scattered across the designs, and they give the collection some personality beyond simply labeling animals and landscapes.

The compass tells you to “FIND YOUR WAY.”

The trail sign points toward wandering.

And around them are all those classic outdoor images—pine forests, mountain silhouettes, tents, wildlife, lakes, boots, maps, and camp gear.

Nothing feels especially Christmas-heavy, either.

I actually like that.

The calendar works for a December countdown, but the individual pieces visually belong to the outdoors rather than only to the holiday season.

By Day 24, You’ve Built a Tiny National Park Collection

The front of the box describes the set as “24 Days of National Park Adventure” and shows 24 collectible park badges.

That changes how I’d approach opening it.

I wouldn’t want to throw the pieces into a drawer after each day. I’d line them up somewhere and watch the collection slowly grow.

One badge on December 1.

A little wildlife appearing over the next few days.

Then forests, trails, camping gear and mountain scenery.

By the final compartment, all 24 pieces become part of the same vintage outdoor theme.

The artwork uses a vintage-inspired palette of tan, brown, dark green, black, blue, and muted orange, with badge-style shapes connecting the collection visually.

I Wouldn’t Pack These Away With the Christmas Decorations

That’s probably my favorite thing about the concept.

A lot of advent calendars reach December 24 and their job is basically finished.

These designs don’t really look seasonal.

A bison is still a bison in March.

A mountain lake doesn’t suddenly stop looking good because Christmas is over.

And that little camp trailer might actually make more sense when summer arrives.

So while the 24 Day Of National Park Advent Calendar 2026 starts as a 24-day countdown, the artwork feels designed around something that lasts much longer: wanting to get outside and see what’s beyond the next trail sign.
